Taste & aroma
Tirah Maidan is an extremely robust strain, a very resilient landrace that requires very few nutrients. This great genetics is very well adapted to difficult conditions – the result of centuries of mountain farming, which is why Tirah Maidan Hashplant can be grown outdoors without any problems. It also works well in indoor gardens, but it is definitely a top choice for growers looking for a variety to grow outdoors.
The smell is very delicious, reminiscent of a mixture of classic hashish, aromas of tea and coffee, rounded off with nutty, spicy, and earthy tones. About a third of the plants grow taller with narrower leaves and appear more wild, while the rest are bushier and more Indica.
Tirah Maidan originates from the remote Tirah Valley in Pakistan's Khyber District near the Afghan border. The region has been known for centuries for small-scale cannabis cultivation and the traditional production of dry-sift hashish. Pashtun tribes, especially the Afridi, brought the plant to the region about 600 years ago and selectively bred it for high production. As a result, Tirah developed into one of Pakistan's most important traditional hash regions.
