AK from Barney’s Farm is a legendary, sativa-dominant hybrid that has held classic status in the coffeeshops of Amsterdam for years. It came out of a cross of genetics from Mexico, Colombia, Thailand and Afghanistan, offering a unique combination of potency, stability and a distinctive aroma profile.

The plant develops a structure typical of a sativa — tall, strong and well branched, forming long, dense colas coated in a thick layer of resin. The dash of indica genes, though, keeps growth under good control and flowering relatively fast at 8–10 weeks. That makes AK a great choice for beginners and more advanced growers alike.

Indoors it reaches a height of approx. 100–140 cm and can generate up to 500 g/m² of high-quality, resinous colas. Outdoors it grows larger (up to 160 cm) and gives steady yields of up to approx. 650 g per plant, finishing its cycle in the second or third ten days of October. The strain shows good resistance and adapts to a range of climate conditions.

AK’s aroma profile is intense and pronounced — sharp, skunky notes dominate with a distinct citrus accent, cut through by spiced heat and earthy depth. The flavour stays classic and strong, exactly what you associate with old-school, top-quality cannabis.
