Somari

Somari by Soma is an exceptional three-way cross in which several well-known genetics from his own breeding work were brought together. The strain was created from the combination of New York City Diesel, Buddha's Sister and Kushadelic. Each parent line contributes characteristic traits: The intense aromatic influence is clearly reminiscent of N.Y.C. Diesel, while Buddha's Sister and Kushadelic add further characteristics to this complex hybrid genetic.

When cultivated, Somari proves vigorous and resistant. The strain is considered comparatively robust, particularly against powdery mildew, which also makes it interesting under less than optimal conditions. At the same time, its different parent lines provide a varied plant structure in which characteristics of the three Soma genetics used can be found.

In terms of aroma, the influence of New York City Diesel is particularly prominent. Intense fruity and citrus-like notes combine with stronger Kush influences to create a complex flavour profile. Somari has also attracted attention in competitions and was awarded at a cannabis cup in Amsterdam.

Soma Seeds, also called Soma’s Sacred Seeds, goes back to the early seventies. The guy behind it, Soma, was not always in cannabis. He once worked at IBM. Later he ran a vegetarian restaurant and even a bakery. Growing plants came later, but he always lived in a way that leaned natural and organic. That carried over into how he breeds seeds too. It is just how he works.
