Two of the most dominant plants in the modern scene put head to head instead of used to correct each other. Trop Cherry #8 is Relentless Genetics‘ peak work out of the Colorado Rockies. Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato is Marcel’s cut out of Michigan. Neither one needed fixing, so this is not a corrective cross. It is a collision, and the pack is what survived it.

The Cross

Most breeding pairs one plant’s strength against another’s weakness. Cherry Limeade does not. Both parents were already finished work when they went into this, and the job was to smash them together and sort through the result.

The Parents

Trop Cherry #8 is Relentless Genetics‘ selection out of Tropicana Cookies crossed to a Cherry Cookies F3 male. Tropicana Cookies is Girl Scout Cookies crossed to Tangie, out of Harry Palms at Oni Seed Co. Cherry Cookies F3 is Girl Scout Cookies crossed to Fire OG, and Relentless took that line through three filial generations before he would use it as a stud, which is not how most people in this market work. He built his reputation in the forums on exactly that: culling without sentiment, working from the Colorado mountains, and stabilizing traits everybody else said could not be stabilized out of that background.

Platinum Lemon Cherry Gelato is Marcel’s cut, known as TheLeafDocta, out of Michigan. Sunset Sherbet crossed to GSC, then crossed to Super Lemon Haze. The Cookies base carries the weight, the Super Lemon Haze carries the vigor and the stretch.

What’s In The Pack

Six feminized photoperiod seeds. The families feeding this run OG Kush and Fire OG for the backbone, Cookies and Sunset Sherbet appearing on both sides, Super Lemon Haze for the stretch, Tangie for the citrus esters that give it the name, and Durban Poison through GSC. The hunt runs between two poles: short dark structurally bulletproof plants from the Trop Cherry side, and tall stretchy ones from the PLCG side.

In The Garden

56-63 days, optimal window day 63 to 70. Moderate difficulty, medium to high yield. PLCG leaning phenos stretch hard and need support planned before you need it. Calcium and magnesium hungry, like most of the Cookies family.
