Friesland

Friesland is a legendary outdoor strain that has its roots in the early 1980's - the genetics are naturally very resilient to bad weather, making them extremely interesting for outdoor growers of all kinds. This cannabis strain is the result of extensive selective outdoor breeding in the cold and humid areas of the Friesland region, the individual plants are particularly robust and very mold resistant. She also has the sexiest and one of the most sought after indica terpene profiles with a hint of cream. There may also be some plants that seem to lean more toward a terpene chemical profile with hints of glue.

Friesland produces sturdy, medium-sized, broad-leaved plants with woody stems, the large leaves show lovely shades of purple in the last few weeks. The plants are easy to grow, requiring very little care and attention - this is definitely one of the best outdoor strains in the world!

The Super Sativa Seed Club (SSSC) has roots going back to the mid 1980s in Den Haag. It grew out of the original Sacred Seeds work and quickly gained a reputation for strains like Durban x Thai, Williams Wonder, and M39. The story begins when Sam the Skunkman moved from California to the Netherlands, bringing Haze and Skunk #1 genetics. From there, Karel Schelfhout used these plants to build the early SSSC library.

The company worked alongside names like Nevil Schoenmaker, who founded the first international seed bank and created Nevilles Haze. Today, Karel’s son Kees continues the breeding, keeping the classic strains alive for a new generation.
