Big Tooth combines three cannabis lines from different regions of the world. The genetic is based on Afghani, Hawaiian Sativa and Nepalese, combining influences from Central Asia, Hawaii and the Himalayas. The result is a mostly Indica with an unusual lineage that belongs to the characteristic Strain Hunters Seeds.

When cultivated, Big Tooth develops vigorously and comparatively quickly. Its robust nature is particularly interesting: The strain is considered resistant to cooler temperatures and also shows good robustness against mould and various plant problems. This makes it suitable for conditions in which more sensitive genetics can encounter difficulties more quickly.

In terms of aroma, Big Tooth also stands out clearly from many classic Indica strains. Spicy notes reminiscent of chilli meet finer floral hints of roses, creating an unusual flavour profile. It is precisely this combination of powerful spice and a lighter floral side that gives Big Tooth its distinctive aromatic character.

  • Strain Hunters: Rare Seeds Collected Worldwide

The Strain Hunters Seed Bank began in 2013 in Amsterdam as part of the Green House Seed Company. The idea was to gather rare cannabis strains from across the world and make them available to growers. Over time, the focus has been on feminized seeds, autoflowering hybrids, and landraces that you usually do not see for sale. Many of these genetics came from trips through Africa, Jamaica, Latin America, and Vietnam.

The people behind it are Arjan, Simon, and the late Franco Loja, who filmed several documentaries while traveling to find these plants. Their goal has always been to secure strains before they disappear and to share them with growers worldwide. The project is tied closely to Green House Seeds, which itself has been around since 1995.
