Chem Sis is the A phenotype, one of the first three females popped out of the original thirteen in 1991, and she is the mother of Gorilla Glue #4. Growing Fish Whistle is growing GG4’s direct maternal line. She is also the freak of that family, the eccentric aunt nobody wants to seat at dinner who always shows up with the best party favors.

The Cross

Fish Whistle shares the Stardawg father with Diamond Chem. The paternal arithmetic is identical. What changes is the mother, and that changes everything. Same chassis, different engine.

The composition runs roughly 50% Chem Sis, 25% Chem 4 through Stardawg, 22% Chem D through Tres Dawg and a 3% Afghani trace holding the base.

The Parents

Chem Sis was popped from the original thirteen alongside the 91 cut, making her one of the earliest expressions of that material anybody preserved. While the 91 and the D took the spotlight, she was the outlier: sativa leaning, the one that grew sideways when everything else grew down. Narrow heavily serrated leaves and extreme stretch in the first three weeks.

Her real significance came in 2009. A plant in Joesy Whales’ garden turned hermaphroditic under stress and pollinated a nearby Sour Dubb. Joesy was ready to bin the seeds. His partner Lone Watie saved them, and what came out of that accident was Gorilla Glue #4. The resin production and the nanner tendency both came straight from her.

Stardawg, from JJ NYC at Top Dawg Seeds, is the structural correction. Chem Sis has never had a frame.

What’s In The Pack

Ten regular photoperiod seeds, males included. Advanced material, and it should be treated that way, because the line carries a nanner tendency that needs watching. That is the same trait that produced GG4 in the first place.

In The Garden

65 days from flip. Moderate to high yield, phenotype dependent. Advanced difficulty. Plan for a trellis, plan for stretch, and inspect regularly through flower.
