Azulcar #22 (Blue Sherb × Runtz) × Lemon Cherry

Monaco is a development of the Azulcar #22 line, in which the Blue Sherb × Runtz genes have been combined with Lemon Cherry in order to dial up the intensity of the sweet, blue-candy profile. The result is a distinct, „loud” blue candy nose – exactly in the style the modern market expects.

The plant grows towards a medium to tall height and has a distinctly strong stretch. With the right management it builds massive, spear-style colas with a tight structure. The architecture resembles Lemon Cherry / Runtz, but with distinctly greater yield potential. In practice this means height control is a must – without proper support (netting/trellis) the plant can „outweigh” its own frame under the weight of the flowers.

The colouring oscillates around shades of blue and purple with a touch of green, depending on the growing conditions. The resin has a characteristic, sandy structure and crumbles easily. The strain has been designed mainly for the production of high-quality flower – with the emphasis on a potent aroma and visual effect.

Monaco very quickly became a favourite among growers. In one of the louder pheno hunts, a phenotype with an exceptionally intense „blue jam candy” aroma was selected, which gained wide recognition in the scene. These are genetics that join high yield with a distinct, modern flavour profile.
