The UpsetterP

The Upsetter by Humboldt Seed Company is an extraordinary mostly Sativa with a special connection to Jamaican culture. The strain was created by crossing Squirt, Tangie and Humboldt Dream. Three different genetics come together here to create a tropical hybrid whose character perfectly complements the name and history of this Humboldt creation.

In terms of aroma, the tropical side of The Upsetter clearly takes center stage. Ripe mango and guava combine with sweet, fruity and fresh citrus nuances to create an intense and exotic flavor profile. The influence of Tangie and Squirt in particular provides lively fruitiness, while Humboldt Dream adds further depth to the cross.

In cultivation, The Upsetter proves to be extremely versatile and uncomplicated. The plants are characterized by very good resistance to mold and can be cultivated both indoors and outdoors. The genetics is also flexible when it comes to the choice of growing medium: cultivation is possible in traditional soil as well as in hydroponic systems. This makes The Upsetter suitable for different grow setups and levels of experience.

There is also a special story behind the strain. The Upsetter was created in connection with legendary Jamaican musician and producer Lee “Scratch” Perry. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these seeds is intended to help support Lee's vision of an independent community away from the system he referred to as “Babylon”. The Upsetter thus combines Jamaican inspiration, tropical aromas and modern Humboldt genetics in an unusual way.

‘It is for the healing of the nation, if you move away from the root, you will never realise the truth. Instead of hatred and malice, we should drink the cup’ -Lee Scratch Perry
