Super Silver Haze took the Cannabis Cup three years running in 1997, 1998 and 1999 for Green House, which is a record nothing since has touched. Animal Cookies comes from the early Bay Area GSC family. This brings Amsterdam Haze and Bay Area Cookies together, and it finishes weeks earlier than the Haze does on its own.

The Cross

Quicksilver is a transatlantic clash, two distinct eras of the business in one pack. The breeding logic is simple: a plant that produces like a Dutch sativa and finishes like a California cookie.

The Parents

Super Silver Haze is the Green House Seeds line that won the Cannabis Cup in 1997, 1998 and 1999. Three years in a row, back when winning it meant something to the whole industry. Long lanky branching and an unusual tolerance for high humidity.

Animal Cookies comes from the early Bay Area GSC family: squat, humidity sensitive, and one of the most resinous plants in that family.

Our read of the original Animal Cookies name: Thin Mint GSC, renamed. The cut came from Jigga and the Cookies Family‘s Bay Area circle and also carried the Platinum Cookies tag. That is the Girl Scout Cookies history we back. A new name does not prove a new cross.

What’s In The Pack

Six feminized photoperiod seeds, and this is a hunt with a specific target. You want the plant with wider internodal spacing than the pure Animal but tighter than the SSH, because those build the biggest colas if you support them.

One warning worth taking seriously: Haze and Cookies crosses occasionally throw a cardboard or hay note where the terpene synthases conflict. Cull those early rather than hoping they cure out.

In The Garden

70-80 days, driven by the Haze heritage. Long for a Cookies plant, short for a Haze. Towering colas that need support.
