Gelato #33 is Sherbinski‘s numbered cut out of San Francisco and it is the one that made the Gelato name mean something. Greenpoint crossed the clone only cut to a select Short Stuff #1 and ran it to F6, selecting on aroma each generation rather than on speed.
The Cross
Greenpoint took the clone only Gelato #33, crossed it to a select Short Stuff #1 phenotype, then selected the best of the offspring and inbred them forward. The goal throughout was to carry the original cut rather than to produce a fast plant with a famous name on the label.
The Parents
Gelato #33 is Sunset Sherbet crossed to Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, from Sherbinski in San Francisco. It is the numbered phenotype that carried the Gelato name into every market in the country, and one of the most influential clone only cuts of the last decade.
Short Stuff #1 supplies the autoflowering trigger and the compact frame.
What’s In The Pack
Six feminized autoflower seeds, consistent after six generations. Dense medium sized flowers, and cold late flower temperatures pull real color out of the leaves and buds.
In The Garden
70-80 days from seed. Short and stocky, robust and bushy, with fat dark green leaves and sturdy stems, which suits limited space. Resistant to pests and disease and adaptable to most climates. Keep the pH steady and the micronutrients present, because this line rewards a complete feed more than most autos.
