The history of East Coast Sour Diesel is contested and convoluted and probably always will be. What is not in question is the plant. Greenpoint put her under Stardawg, which keeps the whole cross inside the same East Coast lineage and makes her considerably less finicky than she is on her own.

The Cross

Chemdog was grown and bred with extensively on the East Coast, and Stardawg is the culmination of those efforts. Pairing it with ECSD keeps the cross regional on both sides.

The approximate makeup is 50% ECSD, 25% Chem 4, 22% Chem D and 3% Afghani.

The Parents

East Coast Sour Diesel arrived with several competing origin stories still in circulation and no settled answer, which is normal for anything that came up through the New York market in that era. Nobody kept records. People kept clones and kept quiet.

What everybody agrees on is that she is a genetic gem and a real diva to grow, which is half the reason she got crossed rather than kept.

Stardawg is Chem 4 crossed to Tres Dawg, out of Top Dawg Seeds, and it brings the vigor and the structure.

What’s In The Pack

Ten regular photoperiod seeds, males included. Vigorous, and notably easier to keep alive than the mother on her own.

In The Garden

60-70 days. Considerably more forgiving than ECSD. Standard airflow discipline once the flowers tighten up.
