Pink Banana Runtz is a limited, indica-dominant hybrid from the „Antonio by Dutch Passion ” collection, created with the aim of raising the standards of classic Runtz -type strains. It was created from a combination of Banana Z (the „Z” genetics from TerpHogz ) and the legendary Gelato #33, which resulted in a strain with larger flowers, a higher yield and a very high quality of end product.

The goal of the project was to create a Runtz line with greater production potential than the standard versions available on the market, which often form finer tops. Pink Banana Runtz stands out for its large, massive main colas, particularly when grown under modern LED lighting. In the right conditions it can build impressive, thick flowers with an excellent look.

In the growth phase the plants are dense and bushy, while after the switch to flowering they go through a distinct stretch phase. Thanks to this the main tops rise above the canopy of leaves, making the most of the light and developing a large flower mass. The strain performs very well in natural, SOG and SCROG growing. With SCROG it is recommended that you extend the vegetative phase in order to fill the net fully before switching to 12/12.

The flower structure is hybrid in character – they are dense, but not excessively tight, which increases their resistance to higher humidity and makes the strain more versatile in a range of conditions. Pink Banana Runtz is also friendly towards beginner growers, copes well in a greenhouse and outdoors in warmer and drier regions. Its best results, however, come in a controlled indoor grow using strong LED lamps and good quality nutrients, ideally organic.

During flowering the elongated tops cover themselves in a thick layer of trichomes very quickly. From week 3–4 of flowering onwards resin production clearly speeds up, and towards the end of bloom the flowers are very sticky and intensely aromatic. The terpene profile is elegant and refined, based mainly on sweet, fruity and creamy notes. Accents of banana, apple, tropical fruits and vanilla ice cream are noticeable. The dominant terpenes are caryophyllene, linalool, limonene, humulene and myrcene.

The aroma is not aggressive or overwhelming, but rather subtle and sophisticated, which experienced users in particular will appreciate. The THC level regularly exceeds 20%, and in good conditions can reach as much as 25%. The effect is very potent and long-lasting – it combines a relaxing physical action with a light euphoria and mental stimulation. It is a hybrid high ideal both for resting and for quiet activity.

An additional asset is its visual qualities. In the final phase of flowering some phenotypes may take on pink and light purple shades on the fan leaves and sugar leaves, which gives the plants an exceptional, decorative look in keeping with the name.
